Harbortouch, a leading supplier of point of sale (POS) systems, has won the Gold Stevie Award in the Mobile Shopping App category for its Perkwave mobile payment and loyalty application, and a Silver Award in the Business-to-Business Products category for its Echo POS system at the 2015 American Business Awards.
This is the third time that Harbortouch has been honored by the American Business Awards.
"We are honored to be selected for these prestigious Stevie Awards," said Harbortouch CEO Jared Isaacman, adding, "The payments and point-of-sale industries are rapidly changing and these awards attest to the fact that Harbortouch is at the forefront of innovation within this evolving landscape."
Harbortouch's Perkwave mobile app, which is currently in beta testing, uses Apple Pay technology to enable restaurant customers to pay at the table quickly, easily and securely. The app also includes built-in loyalty and rewards functionality. Harbortouch Echo is a built-for-purpose touch-screen POS system that combines the performance, functionality and reliability of a traditional system with the simplicity and sleek design of a tablet, without any up-front costs to merchants.
The American Business Awards are the nation's premier business awards program. All organizations operating in the U.S.A. are eligible to submit nominations – public and private, for-profit and non-profit, large and small.
Nicknamed the Stevies for the Greek word for "crowned," the awards were presented to winners during a gala banquet at the Julia Morgan Ballroom in San Francisco. More than 250 nominees and their guests attended for the presentation of new product awards, management awards, app awards, and more. More than 3,300 nominations from organizations of all sizes and in virtually every industry were submitted this year for consideration in a wide range of categories. Stevie Award winners were selected by more than 200 executives nationwide who participated in the judging process.
