In a unique move and industry-first initiative which can benefit hordes of its metchant customers, Karnataka Bank has launched ‘KBL POS Manager’ mobile app to leverage the technology which can facilitate better business management and convenience at point-of-sale (POS) at merchant establishments.
An Android-based mobile application, KBL-POS Manager can help the bank’s POS merchants in managing the activities around the POS installation effectively, including monitoring daily sales reports, latest settlement report value, to request statements from the app etc.
A release from the bank said the move is a groundbreaking, industry-first initiative that gives flexibility to merchants to manage their store sales using smart phone. Customers need not call helpdesk to log support tickets nor do they need to check emails to see daily settlement report. Store sales can be viewed and monitored from anywhere in the world at their finger tips.
Launching the app, bank managing director and chief executive officer P. Jayarama Bhat said, “In pursuit of excellence in customer service, the bank has launched this customised and user-friendly mobile app, through which the bank’s POS merchant customers can perform various activities on the go. This digital initiative is expected to improve customer satisfaction and encourage merchants to do more transactions. The app can be downloaded from the Google PlayStore.”
