For the ninth consecutive year, Honeywell, a global technology and manufacturing leader, has been selected by Fortune magazine as one of the “World's Most Admired Companies” for 2015. Honeywell is placed third within the electronics industry for its quality of management, long-term investment value and use of corporate assets.
Previously, Honeywell ranked 5th on the magazine's Aerospace & Defence list, but was moved to the Electronics category this time based on 2014 revenue in the Automation & Control Solutions business.
Companies that appear on the Fortune Most Admired lists are selected from among 1,400 global enterprises. Executives, analysts and directors are asked to rate companies in their own business domain based on nine different criteria, such as innovativeness, global competitiveness, quality of products/services, quality of management, social responsibility and soundness of financial position.
Honeywell is the leading makers of Point of Sale products such as hand-held and fixed barcode scanners and other computer and electronic devices.
